Spoke with Christopher at ATI this morning; they anticipate shipping the GSG 1911 to their distributors at the end of January! BTW, their website confirms 10 rd mags.

Post Re: Information on the GSG 1911 Pistol
I saw a post from Chris on 16 December 2009 that said the BATF had just finished its approval process and that GSG was finally finishing up some paperwork and would be rolling out with the 1911 in 4 weeks or so, and that would put the expected ship date to 18th of January 2010 or there about.

I was going to hold off on buying any .22lr pistols until I got to see one of these but decided to get the Mosquito to hold me over until then. So far so good. I'll just use my fobus as a cross-draw for the sig and use a tactical holster for the GSG1911 when I'm at the range. Ahhhh more fun..

Post Re: Information on the GSG 1911 Pistol
Any idea if the GSG 1911 pistol locks the slide back on an empty magazine? Can someone confirm?
Does the Kimber .22LR pistol lock the slide back after the last shot?

Same question for the conversion kits.
From what I understand the Kimber conversion kit does not lock the slide back on an empty magazine ... None of the conversion kits do, except for the Advantage Arms. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks in advance!
