Anyone try one of these conversion kits?

I have one and have been very satisfied with it. I have shot both CCI and Winchester bulk ammo without any hiccups. It has been a very worthwhile investment IMO.

Thats Great news! I think I'm gonna look into it farther.

Here it is!

This is the Brownell's .22LR conversion
It comes with 3 'Black Dog Machine' 27 round magazines.
I loaded these Mag's with CCI Mini-Mag .22 LR, 40 grain, 1235FPS, copper coated round nose ammo.
I hope the copper coated bullets will minimize leading problems.

Taking it out to play tomorrow. Will report bacK.

Well, per the Video, I applied a very lite coating of anti-cease to the snout of the bolt.
I then went to the 'Uber Secret TEST Center', (Thanks Jay) and ran 200 rounds through the
Converted AR-15.
Wow! Its a hoot! Max range is about 50 yards due to the low power of the 22LR round, before bullet drop starts being a factor.
I had 9 miss-fires. The firing pin barely makes a mark on the rim-fire rounds.
This may improve as the bolt 'breaks-in.
The opposite can be said for my GSG5. (its a Hammer)
Its well worth the investment. Way less expensive that a complete 22LR Top for your AR.
Would I do it again? You bet.
I just got back from Wal-Marche with 500 rounds and spent a little over $30.00.
This is gonna be a great training tool!

Keep in mind that it won't be a tack driver due to the fast twist rate in an AR barrel. They definitely make ARs less expensive to shoot and anything that helps get more trigger time is great.
