 ATI AR 15 .22lr Upper
I picked up and ATI (American Tactical Imports?) AR 15 upper in .22lr at the Manchester, NH gunshow last Saturday. ATI has nothing on their website and there is nothing on the web about this product. Has anyone heard of this? I emailed ATI and have not heard anything yet. Can't wait to shoot it I hope it works.

ATI imports them but Chiappa makes them. It comes with one mag, 27 rounds. Shot it today 3 full mags worth with Winchester 333 ammo and functioned flawless. $300 well spent! Time to beef up my S&W lower.

Re: ATI AR 15 .22lr Upper
Great to hear, I have a completed AR lower with no upper that I haven't decided what to top it with. This could be a good option. Are the magazines made by Black Dog Machine?

It is synthetic and you will need a cheap riser mount for a regular red dot to see over the front post.

Re: ATI AR 15 .22lr Upper
Quick update:
Black dog mags work great in this upper actually better than the factory mag that comes with it. Put 200 rounds through it before the first bolt carrier blew apart. First run of this upper had issues but had a new bolt carrier from them in 3 days no questions asked.
New bolt carrier has 500 rounds threw it with little problem. Likes any ammo you put in it which is rare for a .22lr. Had about 5 rounds that would stovepipe up inside and the only way to get them out is popping out the bolt carrier which is a pain.
Other than that $300 well spent. -Burn-z

Just out of curiosity, how did the bolt carrier blow apart?

Re: ATI AR 15 .22lr Upper
The spring rod that holds the back of the bolt carrier to the front broke apart. Not a screw the actual rod.
