Look what I got last Friday!!!
I picked up my Spikes pistol on Friday and put the upper on my sbr lower. I think it turned out great. I havent had time to do any real shooting with it but I was able to take a couple test shots with it. It sounded great with the 9mm YHM Cobra M2 on it. I had the pistol made with the carbine length rail specifically for my sbr lower. I'll post back once I can put it through its paces.

That is sweet. Almost looks like a blaster from Star Wars or something.

Thanks guys, I have already started to polish parts on it. I polished the feed ramp and where the bolt comes across the hammer. I have also installed a lighter disconnect spring and hammer spring. I cant wait to try it out.

that looks awesome! I love the spike's stubby vertical grip. Billet with rubber rings for $30!? I think I may have to get one for the GSG, hehe..

Re: Look what I got last Friday!!!
I am new to the forum and on the verge of ordering one these ST22's. I hesitate a bit because of all the posts I'v read stating that FTF's are so common with this rifle. Polishing already? On a 900 dollar rifle? Both my Sig 522 and Ruger 10/22 shoot anything I put in them with very good accuracy, so whats the deal that this gun is so finicky about ammo? I'm not being negative, its just that I wanna ask around a bit for investing that kind of cash in a 22 rifle. They are great looking and I know its the real deal but the thought of having someone work it over just to have it feed correctly does not appeal to me.

Re: Look what I got last Friday!!!
Polishing isn't something you have to do, it simply speeds up the break in where these surfaces would get polished through use. Just as an example I own a pistol that others said you needed to shoot 50-100 rounds through it before it would feed hollow point ammo 100% of the time, I polished the feed ramp on mine and have never had any feeding issues at all. Its similar to adding an optic with no magnification, its no better than using open sights but just something that you like.
